We’ve got the perfect juicy, fruity dessert for your family to enjoy this Easter:
Lemon Tart with Strawberries
Ingredients:
Tart Shell
- flour – 1 and 1?4 cups,
- confectioner’s sugar – 1?4 cup,
- rosemary leaves – 1 Tablespoon,
- cold butter cut into pieces,
- one large egg yolk, and
- 1 pinch of salt.
Ingredients for Lemon Filing:
- Condensed milk – 1 can,
- 5 large egg yolks,
- Grated lemon zest – 2 tsp,
- Lemon juice – 1?2 cup , and
- 1 dozen hulled and sliced strawberries.
Preparation:
Mix flour, sugar, rosemary and salt until rosemary is finely blended. Add butter and blend it well. Pour yolk mixture and mix to create dough. Place the dough on a tart pan and flatten it. Keep it in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes.
Place your dough in foil covered shell mold and bake it at 375°F. After 20 minutes, remove the foil and put the dough back into the oven. Bake until the bottom of the tart turns golden brown. Remove from the oven and allow to cool.
Lemon Filling: Pour filling into the tart shell after finely blending the ingredients. Bake it for about 12 minutes. Let it cool in the refrigerator for several hours. Garnish with sliced strawberries and serve.
